I switched over my home heating system from oil to propane in 2010. Suburban propane installed a 500 gallon tank and provides service delivery.

My house is approx 5300 sq feet, not including a 800 sq foot heated basement. Over the past few years, we have run out of propane during the winter months. I complained each of these times to Suburban that this cannot happen again. On 12/29/17, we ran out of propane again.

The house was 50 degrees. Fortunately we were home as we typically travel during the holidays. I called Suburban at 8:10 am to report the issue. The last delivery was on 11/28/17 and I was not scheduled for another delivery until 1st week in January!!

This is not frequent service for 6000+ sq ft and 500 gallons!! They said a driver would call shortly. I called again at 9:26a, 11:11a and 12:11p. I finally drove to their local office to talk to the Service manager who still could not provide an ETA.

Propane was delivered around 4 pm. I need to know how I can protect my home from damages due to failed service delivery and/or have Suburban pay for replacement of service.

Reason of review: Poor customer service.

Suburban Propane Cons: Business practices and how they handle their customers.
