We purchased our house last October and the previous owner used Suburban Propane and the tank was there with plenty of gas. We only use propane for cooking so it was going to last a while. I planned on contacting them when we needed it refilled. They came today and pulled our tank. There was no note left or prior contact to let us know we needed to contact them. They said they would bring the tank back, but I told them not to bother. I contacted...

We inherited Suburban Propane because the previous owner had a rental tank. We have a small tank that just heats a spa pool for a few weeks in the winter in Florida. Yearly we argue with their customer service over pricing which is way over the national residential average. We are told since we are a small consumer with once a year delivery we need to pay more. August 2016 price per gallon after negotiating was $4.30/ gal. We wish we could get...

Worst customer service ever.I moved and called to have my service turned off. Had a half tank left because I never cook. and all my bills were pd in full. Was told I'd get a refund in the mail. 1 month later I called, they said they get bk with me. Never did. 3 call later I finally was told they changed me 30$ for a squash my account fee. They also said it would usually cost me 90$ I asked for a receipt I was told that they don't do that and...

05 per gallon was the charge on my last fill up, when propane is available locally in Northeast Pennsylvania for $1.35 per gallon or less. Suburban is charging 8 to 9 times the price of competitors. When I realized how much I was being charged, I decided to buy my own tank. I've called them and told them to remove their tank. We'll see how well or poorly they comply and how they are willing to adjust my last bill, which was for a yearly...

They came and pluged my tanks over 11 dollars. Then charged me 107.95$ to do it. They are super over priced, not to mention it takes them like 7 days to even deliver unless you pay extra. I called and told them to come get their tanks and they told me that the regulator was theirs to. I bought the lines and regulator from them 3 years ago when they brought me the tanks. I am so pissed off and upset over this. All because of 11 bucks. Come on now. Suburban propane...

Suburban Propane - Suburban charging 300% of going price for propane
Consistently over charging customers for propane gas. The going rate for LP Gas (propane) is just above $2 per gallon and has been hovering at this rate for over 4 years. I was charged $6.20 per gallon. I can understand a little profit but profit is built in to the $2 price. This amounts to 300% above the going rate. This has been going on for many years now. I have complained before about this company over charging and nothing has changed,...

For years I had Tru Gas (great people) and Suburban recently purchased them. So they do an un-requested fill for me and rake me for over $2.00 a gallon when the going rate was about $1.49. So I send them a letter telling them not to fill until I request a fill. I offered to buy their tank because my cabin is seasonal and I don't need much gas. They send a letter back saying they will not fill until requested. So then what? I get an invoice...

After moving our home & business propane supply from suburban (small case out of contempt) to a smaller local supplier, suburban bought that supplier several years later. I moved from suburban due to outrageous prices and policies. While trying to use most of the gas out of the suburban tank before changing to another local company we ran out of gas while I was on a business trip. I called suburban to get more gas and was told that 100...

Had filled up the tank nearly $400 worth of fuel I only wanted the minimum as the house was for sale but the driver filled it all the way up by mistake so it cost me $389. and 1 month later moved. The tank was still full as it was only used for cooking. Suburban propane refused to give me a refund for the remaining fuel. They are thieves in my opinion. Terrible company.

Highly overpriced! Charge a ridiculous tank rental fee. Charge to pick up tanks when u no longer can stand to deal with them and then tell u the balance of your yearly rental is non-refundable. Can't remember ever dealing with a company like this. So frustrating.
