Suburban Propane - Unexplained Pricing Policy
Became a customer of Suburban Propane in 2017. Customer service was very nice and very helpful at the beginning.
When I first started my account I was quoted a cheaper price per gallon. A teaser rate to be exact. Didn't need much propane that year, because we did not have any particularly cold days in 2017. Fast forward to January 2018.
Very, very cold weather and now Suburban has no price adjustments and the reasons that they give me are, and I quote "the demand is so high" and "you have to lock into a price around June or July when the demand is low." Well if the demand is so high would that be a good time for you to pass the savings on to your customers instead of getting the max price that your company charges.
If I had of known this before signing up with Suburban Propane I probably would have chosen another company. And by the way customer service is not as friendly once they have you at their beck and call.
Reason of review: Pricing issue.
Suburban Propane Cons: High supply and high demand equals higher prices.
