My home has 100 gal, propane tank and is not on automatic delivery. Because of many ongoing issues, pricing, fees that are through the roof, I wanted the tank to go to empty, as they get a $1 a gallon pumping fee, so that I could be free of this poor company.

The first week in January while I am in Florida they fill the tank. (20 gallons) A week later I receive a bill for almost $5.00 a gallon, a $10 safety fee and a $3.00 transportation fee. Propane in Maine is readily available for around $2.00 a gallon. Their price ends up at around $6.00 a gallon.

I had a tenant in a rental house who had a similar issue and they locked the tank, removed it, charged a $1.00 a gallon to pump it and returned the other dollar per gal about a year ago. Suburban agreed to drop the price to around $4.00. I told them I don't want the propane, but in fairness I would give them $2.00 per gal and they refused it. They have been told to stay off my property, not to lock the tank, not to remove the tank, and they threatened court for failing to pay.

I said I would love to go to court.

AG office needs to get involved this is a common business procedure for Suburban. Buy from anyone BUT THEM!!
